From start to finish, here’s how we craft your favourite wax melts 🫶 We use a harder soy wax than in our candles, perfect for a higher melting point and amazing scent retention.From prepping the moulds with biodegradable glitter, to melting the wax to the exact temperature, mixing in fragrance and plant-based dye, and finally pouring and setting... Every step is done with care. Once cured, the melts are packed into jars or tins, ready to fill your space with beautiful scents. And if a melt doesn’t make the perfect pour? Lighting a candle helps to soothe, relax & de-stress.   Science has proven that candles can actually soothe us. And they do this in two different ways: The light A flame has strong primal connections. Fire had several life-or-death purposes within human evolution. From lighting a fire for warmth, cooking food, and warning off predators- fire has been at the heart of human existence. At its core, this is why candles tap into a primal part of our being – providing a soothing and calming atmosphere whilst increasing our self- awareness.   The scent Scent also evokes memories.  There is a strong & close connection between the sense of smell and the brain’s memory and emotion centres. The olfactory bulb in the front of the brain processes smells and sends information to the limbic system. The limbic system includes the amygdala and hippocampus, which are involved in memory and emotion. In turn this can boost our mood and emotional well-being. Hi 👋🏼 I thought it was time for a little reintroduction. First if you're new here, WELCOME - I'm glad that you're here! And if you've been here a while- thank you! I'm Lisa, the owner of Fiery Fox Candles. I set up the business during lockdown as I couldn't buy local artisan candles so started making my own. I knew my candles had to use sustainably sourced Soy Wax and be free from parabens and nasties found in some high street home fragrance products. My eldest daughter suffers with asthma, and I found some well-known brands had caused her some issues but had also given me headaches, so I knew my products had to be as natural as possible. With the help and encouragement of my husband Geoff, together we set up the business and have both helped the business grow to where we are today. Geoff and I have been married for 21 years, and we live in Colehill, Wimborne with our two teenage daughters and two cats. All of our products are hand poured by us in our garden studio at home built in 2022 - and space where we can create and immerse ourselves in what we both love & enjoy.
